The arrival of a new management team at a private sports centre in Barcelona marked a new phase in rethinking the management model, updating the value proposition and adapting the facility to the current needs of the sports sector. The aim was to restore the centre’s position as a leading neighbourhood facility through renovations and improvements that would revitalise its activity. The challenge was to validate the feasibility of the new project, assess the business plan prepared by management and analyse whether the proposed measures could meet the owners’ objectives, users’ expectations and the changing demands of the private sports centre market.
A feasibility study was prepared to assess the sports centre’s transformation project and provide an external, specialist perspective to support decision-making. As part of this process, Itik Consultoria was asked to analyse the business plan, review the different renovation options and validate the financial and service approach. The study took into account the centre’s philosophy and values, its desired positioning, the characteristics of the surrounding area, sector benchmarks and opportunities to improve its sports offering. We also analysed the alignment between the proposed services, the needs of the target audience and the project’s long-term sustainability, with the aim of strengthening the proposal presented to the owners.
