The Spanish Hockey Federation has faced the need to mark a turning point to strengthen its role in a changing sports environment. The opportunity has been identified to propel Spanish hockey toward a more open, cohesive model, prepared to respond to the new challenges of sports practice, competition, governance, and community engagement. The challenge has been to align a diverse community—clubs, athletes, coaches, regional federations, institutions, and collaborating partners—around a shared vision for the future, capable of generating sustainable opportunities for the entire hockey ecosystem.
A strategic planning process for sport has been developed, tailored to the Federation's reality and the specific needs of Spanish hockey. It has been carried out using a rigorous, participatory, and cross-cutting methodology, incorporating the perspectives of the key stakeholders in the community to identify priorities, needs, and areas for improvement. Recent changes in the sports context, industry trends, and growth opportunities for the discipline have been analyzed. Based on this diagnosis, a roadmap has been defined with strategic challenges, lines of action, and priority projects to move toward a more innovative, accessible, and results-oriented federation. At Itik Consultoría, we provided the technical expertise and support needed to turn the shared vision into actionable steps.
