Grant management tool for the Real Federación Española de Fútbol

THE CHALLENGE

The Real Federación Española de Fútbol identified the need to strengthen the transparency, efficiency and technical consistency of its grant allocation system. The challenge was to organise a complex process involving diverse criteria and the participation of territorial and regional federations, to ensure clearer, more consistent management aligned with the organisation’s future strategy. It was also necessary to help the federations forecast their needs and subsequently account for the use of funds, ensuring a more streamlined, traceable process that supports decision-making.

THE SOLUTION

At Itik Consultoria, we developed a bespoke methodology for managing RFEF grants, with the aim of standardising technical criteria and improving the process of allocating funds and accounting for their use. To develop this methodology, we carried out a comprehensive analysis of the expenditure of territorial and regional federations, the criteria established by the Consejo Superior de Deportes and the RFEF’s strategic priorities for the future. Based on this work, we created a dedicated tool that made it possible to forecast initial needs, facilitate grant reporting and generate a visual report setting out the organisation’s main criteria and reference guidelines.
