The Map of Municipal Sports Facilities and Equipment (MIEM)<\/strong> It is a planning tool that analyzes the municipal sports system and establishes the guidelines that will guide the evolution of the network of sports facilities and spaces over the coming years.<\/p>\n

The MIEM offers a Global diagnosis of the municipality’s sporting reality<\/strong>, taking into account:<\/p>\n

The MIEM is framed within the Master Plan for Sports Facilities and Equipment in Catalonia (PIEC)<\/strong>the instrument through which the Generalitat de Catalunya plans, promotes, and coordinates actions related to sports facilities in the territory.<\/p>\n

\nThe condition of the facilities, the functionality of the spaces, the uses, occupancy levels, and the conditions of accessibility, safety, and efficiency are assessed. This phase also includes an analysis of the territory and urban planning, identifying land designations and the possibilities for development or transformation of the various sports areas.<\/p>\n

Diagnosis<\/u>
\nBased on the information gathered, the needs, deficiencies, potential non-compliances, and opportunities for improvement of the municipal sports network are identified. The diagnosis allows determining which facilities require maintenance, renovation, expansion, or replacement, as well as detecting possible shortcomings in the range or territorial distribution of the spaces.<\/p>\n

Proposals and prioritization<\/u>
\nFinally, the necessary actions are defined for the short, medium, and long term, based on the needs identified, the feasibility of the interventions, and the resources available.
