The Martorell City Council, through the Municipal Board of Services for the Attention of People of Martorell, has driven the reformulation of the municipality's school-age sports model. The project's main challenge has been to establish the school as a key space for sports learning and the comprehensive development of children. This transformation has been linked to the municipal Education 360 project, connecting academic and extracurricular activities and integrating physical activity and sport as educational tools for health promotion and social equity.
From itik consulting, we have developed a comprehensive and inclusive school sports model, aligned with the principles of Education 360 and adapted to the educational reality of Martorell. Based on the defined foundations, the Charter of Physical Activity and Sports Services in extracurricular hours has been created, which has solidified the municipal sports planning and the program's quality standards. To develop it, the curricular content and educational projects of the schools were analyzed, identifying the unique characteristics of each center. Participatory sessions have also been held with administrative teams and faculty assemblies. This process has made it possible to design a sports program tailored to children ages 3 to 12 and aligned with the town's educational, social, and community goals.
